Bedford cord

Definition

A heavy weight, warp-faced, corded fabric in which the cords run vertically. Bedford cord is often made with cotton yarns and used in bottom weight garments. When made in lighter weights and with finer yarns it is called a warp pique. Bedford cord is durable and usually used for making pants, especially chinos.
