Batik

This fabric-dyeing method makes cotton look crackled. A design is drawn on the fabric in wax so that it stays white when the fabric is dyed. The wax is removed and the fabric is re-dyed to create rich, multicolored patterns, usually in blues, browns and oranges. Batik fabric can be found in dresses and household décor.
