DIY Ombre Rug

Cotton rag rugs are perfect for DIY projects because you can paint them or dye them, and they are easy to throw in the wash...beyond versatile. We used one of our favorite techniques to add some color to the floor. With the help of some dye packets, we created a multicolored, ombre motif on the rug. We like this technique because you can incorporate your entire color palette in this single piece to unite the space. We laid the rug in front of a gray couch, and it does an amazing job of complementing wall art and neutral coffee table. Read on for steps and supplies!
