DIY Cotton Rope Necklace

  • Rope
  • Fabric Dye
  • End Caps (if you don't have copper ones, paint with copper nail polish)
  • Lobster Clasp
  • Copper Tubing
  • Scissors
  • Jump Rings
  • Jewelry Pliers
  • Glue

Let's Get Started

Step 1

Gather all materials

Step 2

Lay out the rope and spray with fabric dye. Let dry.

(The dye we used sets with heat, so put in dryer or use a hair dryer)

Step 3

Add the copper tubing by threading the rope through the tube.

Step 4

Next, trim the ends of the rope, leaving a small amount of tape to keep the rope from unraveling. Then attached the end caps with glue. Let dry.

Step 5

Attached jump rings and lobster clasp with the jewelry pliers.
