The Cotton Wedding

When we introduced the world to The Cotton Bride in our Cotton Makers series, everyone went wild. Many people didn’t realize how many wedding gowns are made of cotton and they were excited to find a company out there using it every day in their designs. While cotton may not be the first fabric you think to look for when planning a wedding, there is no doubt that cotton apparel and accessories found in the bridal market are absolutely stunning.

Like The Cotton Bride, Brinko Ties and Kendal Leonard Designs are two brands that strive to create products using cotton. They realize the importance of durable, versatile and comfortable products that are as stylish as they are effortless. Due to their mutual love for cotton, they banded together to create an event that would help promote cotton, local wedding vendors in Charleston, South Carolina and a local charity.

Their goal was to come up with a unique and interactive way to show cotton’s role in the community and bridal marketplace. Their idea? A mock wedding! From dining and dancing to live entertainment, these brands put together a fashion show featuring cotton apparel and accessories for party goers to enjoy. There will be shopping via a pop-shop and party favor bags for all “wedding guests.” To top it all off, the festivity’s entire proceeds will go to the local charity.

So whether you’re already married, single or on your way to the alter, you can head over to The Cotton Wedding to envision what your wedding could be like with these vendors at your service. The event is March 28th from 6 PM - 10 PM, at The Citadel Beach Club in Charleston, SC, which is fitting because Charleston is #2 for wedding destinations in the US.
