Watch the Blue Jeans Go Green™ Denim Recycling Program in Action

Welcome to the Blue Jeans Go Green™ denim recycling program. For 10 years, Cotton Incorporated has spearheaded a movement toward sustainability and serving our communities.

It all starts with cotton—and with your favorite pair of jeans. After you’ve worn and loved them for years, you can pass them off to a good cause. The Blue Jeans Go Green™ program collects denim and in partnership with Bonded Logic, Inc., converts the denim into UltraTouch™ Denim Insulation, which is then used to support building efforts around the country.*

In the past 10 years, Blue Jeans Go Green™ has collected and upcycled over 1.5 million pieces of denim into UltraTouch Denim Insulation. This impressive number has kept 750 tons of denim waste out of landfills.

Watch the video for an in-depth look at this process.

You too can be a part of the movement by contributing your old denim clothing to the Blue Jeans Go Green™ program. Your denim jeans, jackets, dresses, tops, and skirts can all be given to the program, keeping textile waste out of landfills and aiding sustainability efforts. It feels good to give.

To get involved, either mail us your denim or drop it off at one of our affiliate retailer locations. As an added bonus for recycling, stores such as Madewell offer you a discount on your next denim purchase with them. Find out more at BlueJeansGoGreen.org.

*Insulation quantities related to the Blue Jeans Go Green™ denim recycling program may be adjusted each year.
