Rib knit
| What is rib knit?
Rib knit is a knitted fabric with alternating high and low knit columns. More elastic and durable than jersey knits, they tend to fit to the body.
| How to wear rib knit:
Rib knits are used frequently in t-shirts, as well as for the trims of socks, sleeves, waists and necklines. This construction can also be found in sweaters and women’s dresses.
| Maintaining rib knit:
Cotton rib knits are easy to maintain. Care in home laundry, with gentle wash and tumble dry, will reset the knit structure after wear and keep it in form over time.
Does rib knit wrinkle?
Rib knits do not wrinkle. The elasticity of the structure allows the fabric to bounce back into shape very easily.
Is rib knit easy to clean?
Rib knits are easy to clean. Some rib knits may need to be air dried to reshape the garment after washing, so check the care label for specific instructions.
