Chino
| What is chino?
Chino is a durable cotton fabric which uses a steep twill construction, and is mercerized for a slight sheen. Chino has a storied past of being used for military uniforms for many years. It is one of the only fabric constructions that can withstand the high performance standards and rigors of military wear.
| How to wear chino:
Chino is typically found in the garment with which is shares its name – chinos! It is most often used in pants and trousers, and made with 100% cotton.
| Maintaining chino:
Chino fabrics are designed to be easy to care for, which is one of the many characteristics that make them so popular for bottom weights.
Does chino wrinkle?
Chino does have a tendency to wrinkle, but mercerizing and wrinkle-resist finishes are common to help combat the issue. A quick ironing on cotton heat will give chinos their characteristic polished appearance.
Is chino easy to clean?
Most chinos are easy care and can be spot cleaned or machine washed to release stains and odors. But it can also withstand dry cleaning for an extra crisp look.
