We are a not-for-profit funded by U.S. upland cotton growers and importers

Cotton Incorporated was founded in 1970 in response to the rise of synthetic textile fibers to research and promote cotton. Since then, we’ve helped increase cotton market share through research, marketing and improved technology.

The Fabric of Our Lives® Campaign

One of the longest-running campaigns in American history, it launched with an iconic commercial on Thanksgiving Day 1989 to an audience of over 200 million people and continues to evolve today.

The Seal of Cotton

This iconic trademark is an emblem of quality, credibility and trust. Any brand applying to use the Seal of Cotton undergoes a strict evaluation to assess the the cotton content and material composition of their products.

It’s a recognizable assurance for consumers, making it a powerful marketing tool for brands.
