  • 7/32 x 100 feet cotton rope
  • Scissors
  • Unfinished wooden beads
  • 2 inch copper pipe
  • Pipe cutter
  • Acrylic craft paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Potted plants

Let's Get Started

Step 1

Cut 3 strands of cotton rope that each measure 10 feet. Hold the three rope strands together and then fold in half. Make a loop knot at the top.

Step 2

Paint the wooden beads with the craft paint.

Step 3

Cut the copper pipe to the desired length.

Step 4

Separate the cotton rope into three strands and load on the beads and the copper pipe. Tie a knot below to secure the beads and pipe.

Step 5

Separate back into 6 strands and join the adjacent rope. Then tie a knot. Repeat until the desired depth for your planter is reached.

Step 6

Gather all 6 strands together at the bottom and tie one large knot.

Step 7

Nestle the potted plant within the space above the bottom knot.

Step 8

Hang from the ceiling.
