How to Wear Summer’s Biggest Trend: Off the Shoulder

It’s time to pull a classic Sandra Dee, minus the spandex and leather. That’s right, it’s officially off the shoulder season and you’re going to want to tell everyone about it...stud.

If there is a thing about too many off the shoulder dresses and tops that one person should have at a specific time then we’re in so much trouble because we canNOT stop obsessing (and purchasing) them!

As the temperatures and humidity continue to rise, there is something so refreshing about a flowy piece of clothing that allows your skin to breathe and not cling to you. There is nothing worse than feeling like you’re suffocating  in too-tight clothes. Not to mention, most of these pieces are 100% cotton, so you’re already going to feel as good as you look.

Because these pieces typically have a loose and boxy drape, when we choose an off the shoulder top we prefer to pair it with something slightly more fitted on our lower half, like a pair of cute denim shorts or a skinny or straight-leg pair of  light wash denim jeans. If you’re feeling a bit adventurous, one of our #CottonFavorites below would be great with a pair of cropped cotton culottes.

Leave shoulders bare in this super-soft off the shoulder top. Finished with a ruffle detail, opt for clean lines on your bottom half for an on-trend style.
